Christmas is coming!! Time to get organised.

Wow I only received my DT kit this week and it was sooo fab that I had to get stuck in straight away. When I saw the lovely Sendak paper from American Crafts I immediately thought "retro Christmas". It's not supposed to be a Christmas paper but that's what it said to me.So having started to think that I need to get more organised I decided to make this Christmas list board. I cut out a rectangle from a cereal packet and covered it with the Sendak paper. I also cut out a smaller piece for the pocket and covered that in the paper too. I cut a small strip of the glimmer paper from the Sarapapers Vintage book to go down the left hand side of the board to look like a ribbon.I then cut out the embossed christmas sentiment and added that. The little November and December calendars I just printed from the net. I then added the pocket. So I could hang it up I added some ribbon.

Here is the board without the little book. My idea is to hang it up in the kitchen with the book attached and then I can write little notes or Christmas lists of things I need to buy or get.

Here is a picture of the book. I made the book with my Bind it all and two of the jumbo playing cards and covered them with the glimmer paper from the Sarapapers Vintage book . To make the title "Christmas Lists" I cut out an oval from the Sendak paper and added the embossed Christmas sentiment. I just cut out some paper to make pages for the book to write on. I loved the little Christmas tree charm so I popped that onto a spiral. To finnish it off I added some co ordinating ribbon around the spirals. The back cover of the book slips into the pocket so you can take it out with all your lists in and take it to go shopping. You won't forget anyone's pressie then!!
