I've made two projects this week from the Personal Shopper Kit from October 2006 The first one uses a Sara Binder. I love Sara Binders you customise them to suit yourself. You can add lined paper, envelopes, dividers, plain paper or pockets. I put some envelopes and writing paper in mine and I will probably add more to it as I go along. If I have an idea for a card or layout I can jot it down in the Sara Binder. If I find something that I can recycle or something that matches a particular colour I want I just put it inside one of the envelopes to keep for later.
First of all I inked the spine of the Sara Binder. I used a sage green colour ink to blend with the green in the paper. I covered the front and back with the daisy paper from the friends set. I cut it so that there was a large daisy on the front near to the top. I added one of the Heidi Swapp buttons from the kit to make the centre of the flower. I covered the inside of the cover with some of the 12x12 sage green paper and cut a couple of daisies and stuck them down. I put one of the metal daisy embellishments on a piece of ribbon and I cut a square with a daisy inside from the card kit and hung that on a ribbon too so they are like charms on the outside of the binder. I will use the metal one as a bookmark for the inside. I finished it off with two chipboard letters for my name and inked the edges of the binder with black ink.

It’s my birthday this weekend and it’s a special but quite scary one. I am going out to celebrate with some of my work colleagues and I hope to take lots of embarrassing photographs. I decided to make an album to keep the evidence in!!
I covered two pieces of 4x4 cardboard in sage green paper. I cut one large daisy from the remaining piece of daisy paper and stuck it on the front of the album, again with one of the large buttons as the centre. I added some Cardmakers Word Fragments on the front and tied some ribbon around the rings holding the album together.
I covered the inside with some of the yellow paper from the kit. I made the pages out of some HOTP card I already had and some of the sage green out of the kit. I cut some tabs from the last scraps of the square patterned and daisy papers, inked the edges and stuck them onto the side edges of the pages. I stuck one of the index cards from the kit inside the album and wrote a couple of details inside. Finally I inked the edges of the book covers with sage green ink. I am going to get everyone who comes out Friday night to sign some of the pages inside and I will then add a few more pages to this album for the photographs. I have plenty of card and paper left from the kit to do that with. I think this will be a good keepsake of my birthday. How old am I? You will have to work that out from the clue It’s my Hawaii birthday - book him Danno!
