Orangutan layout

Hey guys! Just stopping by to share another project with you! After seeing all the lovely stuff the other girls have created with the personal shopper kit for October 2007, they really inspired me to created something 'un-halloweeny' with the Halloween collection of papers within the kit.

The picture was taken at Chester Zoo last year, and I basically removed the colour from everything except the orangutan, to co-ordinate better with those gorgeous orangey stripy papers. I distressed the edges of the photo with a bit of sandpaper, and then at the bottom edge where the sanding didnt show up too well, grubbied them up with some black ink. I'm a massive fan of stripes and as you can see, I cut a piece of stripes paper making the most of the horizontal pattern there. There was a generous amount of ribbon left over from two previous projects, so I folded some up to create the little Rosette at the top right of the LO, finishing off the journalling with a little piece too. I also covered a layered piece of cardboard cut into a heart shape with the orange paper in the kit.
